Nike x Entourage x Undefeated

So for anyone who caught last night’s Entourage episode on HBO, we got a nice glimpse into today’s current sneaker culture. Turtle, one of the show’s characters decided he needed the new limited edition Nike shoes that were dropping. This was all reminiscent of the Stash blue pack release, because the sneaker on the show was a limited collabo between graffiti artist Fukijama or something like that (who as far as I know is fictional, leave a comment if I’m wrong). So long story short, Turtle and Vince (who’s a movie on the show), show up at UNDEFEATED to buy the pair and there is a huge line. They wait for a while and eventually they sell out. The shop worker tells them Santa Monica has some pairs left, so everyone starts racing over there. We then get a guest appearance by real life sneakerhead DJ AM, who swoops in on the last sz 11. Turtle is shattered that he didn’t get his kicks. Vince eventually goes and drops 20 Gs on a pair of customs for Turtle, which we never get to see except that it’s an air force one, and is in a dope custom box with a cutout and gold.

The episode was good, and it was nice seeing some sneaker culture on a tv show like that. Originally when the show was being filmed they were supposed to be offering up a raffle for a limited Nike x Entourage sneaker at Undefeated and paying kids $50 a piece to camp out. That was eventually scrapped though, and I don’t think the kicks were ever made.
